Te Ara a Maria: Mary’s Way is a hīkoi of the artwork, ‘Ko Hāta Maria, Te Matua Wahine o Te Atua – Holy Mary, Mother of God’, which has been touring Aotearoa following its celebration on the Feast of the Assumption in 2021

Our parish will be hosting the icon from 15-18 July and we invite as many parishioners and friends to take the time to visit

Friday 15 July
10am – Te Ara a Maria icon arrives at St Pius X Church, Titahi Bay
Until 7pm – church open for visits to icon

Saturday 16 July
9am – Mass at St Pius X Church. (NB: No 9am Mass at Tawa)
5.30pm – Vigil Mass at St Pius X Church
Until 7pm – church open for visits to icon

Sunday 17 July
Te Ara a Maria icon will be at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Tawa
8.30am – Mass
10.30am – Mass
Until 7pm – church open for visits to icon

Monday 18 July
9am – Mass followed by Rosary and Divine Mercy prayers
10.15am – Te Ara a Maria icon leaves Tawa

Are you able to help while the icon is here?
As each church will be open until 7pm, we need to ensure there’s at least two people continuously in the church during this time
